Estee Lauder Introduces New Modern Muse Spokesperson

Estee Lauder is a beauty product company that has named Misty Copeland as their new international spokesperson for their fragrance products categorized as Modern Muse, launched in 2013. Estee Lauder plans to advertise Modern Muse on TV, Internet, print and in-store locations. The slogan that will be used for their spokesperson campaign is “What inspires you?” and will coincide with Copeland’s messages on wisdom. Afterall, muses were originally known as Greek Goddesses that inspired creativity among all types of artists. In this case, Copeland will embrace the “modern muse” role and seek to inspire women to live life on their own terms, while making great accomplishments and inspiring everyone around them.

Who Is Misty Copeland?

Misty Copeland is a professional ballet dancer for one of the best ballet companies in the United States, the American Ballet Theatre. She is also known for the being the first African-American dancer to be promoted to first dancer there since its beginning 75 years ago. She’s also a stage performer, public speaker and writer. Other companies she’s had endorsements with are Under Armour, The Dannon Company, Dr. Pepper, T-Mobile, Coach Inc., and Seiko.

When asked about how she feels to be working with Modern Muse, she replied “I am so honoured to represent Estée Lauder Modern Muse. My two passions are dance and giving back, and I love passing on knowledge to the next generation. I also have a strong connection to the scents I wear when I perform. The Modern Muse campaign is the perfect way to see another side of my story.”
